    by Jon Panker, News Editor

In this presidential election year, debates are taking center stage. Perhaps inspired by the political arena -- perhaps just motivated by their love for a good fight -- some of my editorial colleagues decided to go head to head on issues that they feel pretty strongly about, some of the most hotly contested topics in IT. For instance, will the Can Spam law unclog our inboxes? Does SCO have a leg stand on against IBM? Which OS is the best, Windows or Linux?

On SearchDomino.com you'll find these online arguments, which we call "Face-offs". And, because everyone has an opinion, we invite you to add your two cents to the great debate using our SoundOff feature. Which argument makes the most valid points? Which debater is full of hot air? We're counting on you to let us know.

    Jon

    Tip of the Week:
    Featured Developer Tips:

    ND6.5 color finder
    by Dennis Henry
A new feature to ND6.5 is the NotesColorObject, but the value in a "color" field is stored as a hex string. This tip gives you the code to convert this string to RGB, so the NotesColorObject can interpret it.
