How does an information technology publication -- online or offline -- know what kind articles readers want to read? We get our ideas from many sources: you, other publications, our site experts, conferences, vendors and whatever "buzz" we pick up from the general marketplace. At SearchDomino.com, we've just added another element to our editorial planning -- an advisory board.
We selected our four technical mentors -- Andy Pedisich, Rob Axelrod, Andrew Young and Dick Whetstone -- because they are leaders in enterprise IT -- either by dint of their job title, their ties to user groups, or as professional consultants. They all have impressive credentials and extensive knowledge of the administration, development and security of Notes/Domino systems.
We'll meet "officially" a couple of times a year and will stay in close touch on a regular basis to gather feedback on existing content and bounce around new ideas. The result of this ongoing dialog will be more incisive coverage of critical Notes/Domino-related topics and challenges.
If you have some thoughts on what those topics should be, or want to contact individual board members directly, you can write us and we will forward your letters along.
Have a great week, everyone.
~Christine

Column: From Workplace cynic to believer
Notes and Domino have been a part of Scott Lemieux's working life for more than 10 years. So when he first heard the Lotus Workplace announcement way back when, he was not exactly in love with the idea. Scott was one of many in the Lotus community concerned that Workplace would be the death-nail to our beloved Notes and Domino. |
