TIPS: Monitoring cluster replication
Domino server clusters are an excellent way to provide for failover
in the event of a server outage. But they provide little benefit if
the data on the servers is not kept in sync. In this tip, Any Pedisich explains how to pro-actively monitor your clusters in a way that will help you determine if you need to add additional cluster replicators to increase reliability.
ASK THE EXPERTS: Ask Brian Mahoney: Timeout error when running an agent on the database
Dear Brian: I'm doing a redesign. The current database is nearly 9 GB. I have some new fields to be populated to all the documents in the database. When I run an agent on this database, I always get stuck by the error: "Network operation did not complete in reasonable amount of time." Is there any way I can run the agent successfully in all the documents, get the documents in batches and make sure that I am not missing any
documents in the database?

Microsoft intern has his head in the clouds
[SearchSecurity.com]
Adam Stubblefield is living proof that you can have your head in the clouds and still have a head for business. As an intern last year for Microsoft's research unit, Stubblefield stumbled upon a new way to help users remember their passwords. His inspiration came from the cloud shapes he saw on his drive home from work. After proving to Microsoft that shapes can trigger a user's memory of a forgotten password, the software maker
filed for a patent. Stubblefield, 23, is now a second-year doctoral candidate at Johns Hopkins University, where he'll probably come up with the idea for his thesis by watching grass grow.
