IT dealing with voice and video creep
[SearchDomino.com]
Converged communications in enterprise networks is inevitable -- and already happening in some places. It's up to IT to determine how it can be accommodated in an existing infrastructure.

AD Stopping Unwanted Email: Sender ID Can't Do It
Recent proposals to develop sender authentication standards such as Sender ID are both impractical and inherently flawed. Spammers and hackers won't wait--and may actually be able to exploit the registration of IP addresses with Sender ID to improve their junk mail delivery. Download the latest Postini white paper that explains why enterprises do not need to rely on the prospects of Sender ID. Click here.

Microsoft teams with iSeries ISVs to tackle IBM's Java Roadmap
[iSeries Network]
Yesterday morning, a group of nine iSeries service providers and ISVs announced an alliance with Microsoft built around the premise that Microsoft's .NET platform, and not IBM's Java Developer Roadmap, is the best choice for iSeries shops wanting to modernize their legacy applications. This represents another interesting turn in the ongoing Microsoft-IBM battle for the hearts and minds of managers in small- and medium-sized businesses.

Java Studio creator picking up EJBs
[Computer Business Review Online]
Sun Microsystems' take on easier JavaFaces drag-and-drop development is Java Studio Creator. Due in the next release is better support for Enterprise Java Beans and support for a broader number of server targets, including, perhaps, WebSphere.

ADVICE:  Ask Andre Guirard: Looking for an agent
Dear Andre: I'm looking for an agent that schedules a mail every Monday at 3PM. But, as I look in "target option," I can append the agent only on event so "All Document in Database" or "All new documents in database." On the contrary, I need to send an e-mail to more destinations every Monday. Can you help?

WHAT'S NEW:  ITKnowledgeExchange: WebSphere Webfacing tool
An ITKnowledgeExchange member is evaluating the webfacing tool for a proposal, and needs to know if this tool is only available for iSeries or is there a version of WebSphere developer for Windows platforms that enables webfacing?

The Missing Link

Cheers for Spears -- Britney hits it one more time
[CNET News.com]
Yep, she did it again. Britney is back on top -- of the 2004 list of "most searched-for people" on the Web, according to America Online. Why is anyone's guess -- maybe because of her two marriages this year, one of which is still working. A certain hotel heiress is catching up, though, and finished second. Because her name is spam filter fodder, she won't be mentioned here (it rhymes with "Terrace Chilton").
