IBM Corp. announced Wednesday it is buying an Irish-based financial outsourcing firm, Equitant Ltd., as part of its transition from a computer-maker to a provider of financial outsourcing expertise.

IBM seeks documents from Intel

International Business Machines requested documents from chip giant Intel Corp., as it prepares its defense in a billion-dollar dispute with SCO Group Inc. over the Linux operating system.
