[2] "Windows XP launch in turmoil"
Still waiting for your XP preview software? Join the masses. Many of
XP's 100,000 beta testers are still waiting some ten days after
Redmond announced the program. Even testers who got the software got
some grief with it. According to CNET, Microsoft gave out a bunch of
wrong passwords.

[4] "Meta: Users should expect business as usual from Microsoft"

THE MISSING LINK
-------------------------------------------------------
A look at an off-the-wall story off the Web

"Smoking mad over pot virus"

Does your PC have a bad case of the munchies? Does it giggle
incessantly? It could have been infected with the Marijuana virus.
I-Worm.Mari comes as an e-mail with the subject line "check this
out." When the computer "inhales," a Trojan Horse program sets the
Internet Explorer browser start page to marijuana.com and pastes a
pot leaf in the Windows system tray (no word yet if the virus affects
the PC's short term memory or desire to work). The folks at
marijuana.com are fuming - they say they have nothing to do with the
wired weed, which could lead to harder viruses.
