Microsoft is meeting with the U.S. Department of Justice this week to talk about settling the antitrust case. This week's meeting will likely focus on general issues like legal procedures. A Web-based pro-anorexia movement is encouraging visitors to believe that anorexics don't need to be fixed, that weighing 87 pounds is beautiful and that being unhappy is just fine, as long as they're skinny. Experts say the sites play into the state-of-mind of many anorexics with a lot of denial and a lot of compensation. Sadly, the sites give what could be a fatal message to many girls and women: that it's better to be dead than fat.
