LEAD STORY
"Microsoft warns of three flaws in ISA Server "
There's a patch out now to plug not one, not two, but three cracks in
ISA (Internet Security and Acceleration) Server 2000. Those cracks
could lead to DoS attacks. The flaws involve the product's VoIP
(Voice over IP) capabilities, its Proxy service, and ISA's error page
generation.

[1] "Hotmail hole exposes subscribers' e-mail -- hacker 'zine"
Microsoft's Hotmail is taking some heat -- a security hole within the
service lets anyone with a Hotmail account take a gander at other
users' messages. That's the story according to the hacker e-zine
Root-Core Network. Passport is the "guardian" of Hotmail -- and
Passport has been criticized recently for allegedly having the
potential to "sleep on the job."

[3] "IBM to Microsoft: Give Java your support"
IBM is pushing Microsoft to ease up and support Java. Big Blue is
kind of caught in the middle of the Microsoft/Sun spat because it
(IBM) is a Microsoft OEM that loves Java.

Ajacs Die Sales needed a better way to track inventory and purchase

A look at an off-the-wall story off the Web

"Toilet paper pokes fun at dot-com bottom"

It's the ultimate dot-com indignity -- one final wipe, er, wave
goodbye to kaput or failing dot-coms. New novelty toilet paper that
looks like tickertape features the stock prices of dead or dying
dot-coms. It's the latest addition to the memorabilia craze
surrounding failed Internet companies. Folks are anxious to scoop up
cupholders, mouse pads, even stock certificates of out-of-business
Web companies. The souvenirs, however, don't necessarily have any
resale value; the toilet paper, according to its entrepreneurial
inventors, is being scooped up by folks who gambled and lost on the
Net or know someone who did and want to poke a little fun their way.
