The company is planning to unleash its "Unix-killing" Windows Datacenter Server Limited Edition early in the first half of 2002. You will have to go through Redmond's buddies, including IBM, Compaq, HP, Dell and Fujitsu to get it. By Friday Big Blue will make 17 database tools available -- most of them upgrades to current products. Two of the tools are totally new and dish up buffer pool analysis and data export for DB2. Upgrades to DB2 Table Editor and Web Query Tool now support Windows, Linux, AIX, Solaris, and HP-UX.
