"Dell admits MS price gouge is hurting business"
Windows XP may be the kick in the pants IT needs, right? Listening to

aggressive new pricing structure for Windows XP is having the
opposite effect, and serving as an obstacle to the traditional Wintel
upgrade cycle.

business intelligence"
Microsoft and IBM are in business to bring business intelligence and
knowledge management together. Big Blue researchers are hammering out

unstructured, available to employees. Microsoft's XML-driven

Security experts are afraid paralyzing cyberattacks could follow the

plants, railroads, airports, and oil and gas pipelines.

Economists wonder and worry that the terrorist attacks on the U.S.
could have another kind of impact -- on consumer confidence.
Economists say the Federal Reserve and the federal government must
make sure Americans have confidence in the economy, otherwise a
recession is a possibility.

"VMware brings Linux and Windows together"

VMware Workstation's ability to isolate guest environments while
protecting its Linux or Windows core could be a major plus for IS
administrators responsible for multiple OS support. But before you
decide if VMware is right for you, you'll want to consider if your
needs justify the somewhat expensive price tag and the 2GB of hard
disk space recommended for the install.

"Unix and Windows: Why must I choose?"

Bruce Harvey talks about the basic differences between Windows and
Unix (including Linux) systems on the server and the desktop. Be sure
to take a look at the characteristics comparison chart of the two.
It's subjective, but it sums up each OS's strengths and weaknesses
pretty accurately.
