The Wiz is available for IIS 4.0 and 5.0, but you still need to make sure all the hotfixes are in place. MICROSOFT APOLOGIZES IN SECURITY FLAP | News: CNET Microsoft says it knew about a security flaw in Internet Explorer a week before a security company spilled the beans. Online Solutions notified MS of the problem and gave MS a week to announce it, but MS said it needed two weeks to investigate and didn't want to make the flaw known because doing so would have given someone a chance to exploit it. Online Solutions then took the flaw public against MS' wishes. Microsoft now admits the security company did the right thing. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ADDITIONAL SEARCHWIN2000 NEWS HEADLINES All headlines below and others are available on our news page >> Full Stories: http://searchwin2000.techtarget.com/news - Microsoft attempts security culture reinvention - Microsoft tentatively settles class action suits ____________________________________________________________________ ************ Sponsored by VeriSign - The Value of Trust *********** FREE E-COMMERCE SECURITY GUIDE from VeriSign--Want to kick your online sales to the next level--while protecting your company from online fraud? Putting more "tech" in "discotheque," Hewlett Packard is hard at work on the world's first artificially intelligent disc jockey. It's a program that not only mixes tracks, it also "feels out" the crowd (via remote sensors) to gauge what clubbers are hot to hear. HP's AI DJ isn't ready to groove for the masses just yet, but a test version in London got rave reviews (from HP). The company claims two out of five dancers couldn't tell the difference between the artificial DJ and its human counterpart, although you've gotta think the HP DJ would be the one playing more techno.
