The descendants have descended in droves. The 1901 census that the British government put online this week has taken more hits than Mike Tyson. And like a wounded boxer, www.census.pro.gov.uk has gone to the corner for a cold splash of water and a quick rubdown. The site had to come offline for some emergency repairs thanks to the one million plus people who tried to log on at the same time. Must be something in their genes! The site should be back up and running by Friday. Tally-ho!
