Windows developers will need to get up to speed - and the training won't come cheaply. The language changes and the complexity of the .NET framework could leave some VB coders speechless. And the one-two punch of .NET and C# could leave some non-Windows shops feeling a little queasy and force them to take an updated look at the role of Windows in their businesses. RALPH NADER: MS IS A HUGE TAX DODGE | News: Reuters Ralph Nader, the alpha male consumer watchdog, says Microsoft needs to start ponying up dividends to investors -- otherwise the cache of cash it has socked away is nothing more than an illegal tax shelter for its wealthy shareholders. Microsoft hasn't written a dividend check in its 15 years as a public company. Nader said the reason is because shareholders actually save money when they don't get a dividend. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= ADDITIONAL SEARCHWIN2000 NEWS HEADLINES All headlines are available on our news page >> FULL STORIES: http://searchwin2000.techtarget.com/news - Microsoft sharpens focus on training - Top 10 virtual office mistakes _____________________________________________________________________ ***************** SPONSORED BY: Quest Software ********************** STILL NOT MIGRATED TO WINDOWS 2000 AND ACTIVE DIRECTORY? Three British-Columbian burglars bungled a job when their wireless ratted them out. In the heat of holdup, one burglar's cell phone got roughed up and redialed the last number. Bad call. An answering machine picked up and promptly recorded everything. The owner of the answering machine made a call to the police. The tattle-telling tape has made its way from the answering machine and is now being played on Vancouver radio. The three robbers can be heard telling the victim "you're being jacked," and arguing over how to divvy up the whopping $100.
