FIRST .NET VULNERABILITY APPEARS | News: ENT Magazine

Awwww, baby's first virus! Security experts say .NET is the target of
a new virus, the W32/Donut. Antivirus vendors say it's pretty benign.
McAfee says the "uncommon system requirements and replicating
environment" should keep the virus in check.

ANALYSIS: MS .NET -- COMING TO A PLATFORM NEAR YOU? | News: IDG News

No matter what platform you're running, you're bound to run into
.NET. Developers are working to bring .NET tools to Linux and Mac OS
X. And Microsoft is tooling an alternative version of .NET building
blocks to run on a version of Unix. Could this mean Web services and
.NET will be synonymous? Some experts think so.

MS RIGS ZD READER POLL TO PROMOTE .NET | News: The Register

Is Microsoft like some kind of corrupt third world government? It
appears the company stuffed an online poll full of pro-Microsoft
votes. The poll, on ZDNetUK, asked readers which they like more --
.NET or Java for Web development. The results went from heavily
pro-Java, to heavily pro-.NET. A lot of votes came from the
Microsoft.com domain, and lots of folks tried to vote more than once.

MTV TUNES UP COMPUTER FOR KIDS | The Missing Link

Back in 1981, you wanted your MTV, complete with Blondie, Benatar and
The Buggles. In 2002, a strict diet of music videos just isn't
enough. Attention spans are higher maintenance. That's why MTV is
launching a line of PCs that mix the Internet and cable television
with a DVD player and stereo. So come spring, you'll be able to watch
DVDs, cable shows, surf the Web and get your Carson Daly fix all in

will the ad slogan be? "I want my MTVPCDVD ASAP!"
