There are also remedies for old flaws, including a fix for a tanned,
rested and ready version of the old Klez worm. Win2k users can get

CAN I CREATE A USER-DEFINED ENCRYPTION ALGORITHM? | Ask the Expert

Is there any way of creating a user-defined encryption algorithm for
a Windows 2000 application? Whatever data is going from the
application would be encrypted using that algorithm, and at the same
time it would be decrypted at the other end.

THIN MINTS IN CYBERSPACE | The Missing Link

Be sure to save room in your inbox for Thin Mints. Girl Scout
cookies, those boxed bits of baked bliss, are Do-Si-Doing online
thanks to parents who are using cyberspace to sell their daughters'
shortbreads. E-mail is becoming a more popular way to get the word
out that it's Samoa season -- a lot quicker than going door-to-door
or cubicle-to-cubicle. The Girl Scouts organization says it's fine to
cut cookie deals through e-mail to make some dough, as long as the
scout helps write the e-mails and doesn't make her mom or dad do all
the work.
