Check out oxfordreference.com. Oxford University Press is putting its core language and subject reference dictionaries online. You know, those tall, thick, heavy books that come with a magnifier and have the last word on words -- they're going on the Web. It's the future of reference, but, with the apologies to Oxford's wordsmiths, it ain't cheap. Yearly subscription fees will cost around $250 a year for schools and anywhere from $395 to just under $3,000 for multiple-user accounts like libraries.
