This Week's Show

It's a bird, it's a plane -- it's Microsoft's .NET: What is Microsoft's .NET initiative? Is it products, services, a strategy, a marketecture -- all of these? Those are the questions the industry-at-large is asking as Microsoft hypes the .NET initiative. What does .NET mean to the developer community and corporate end users now and in the future? In this edition of Win2000Talk, we go behind the hype and get the real scoop from leading industry reporters and columnists. Our featured guests include: John Fontana, a senior editor at Network World; Larry Seltzer, a columnist for ZDNet Tech Update and author of Admin 911: Windows 2000 Terminal Services; and noted directory services expert Jeff Hughes, who will be on hand to answer your technical questions on directory services and domains in the Ask-a-Techie segment.

We'll also have our regular segments: Ed Parry with the news, and Dave Gabel with the NetIQ Trivia Quiz and our new "second chance" contest that will automatically enter you to win a BlackBerry handheld device. Just listen to the NetIQ Trivia Quiz with Dave Gabel and submit your answer to Question@Win2000Talk, and you will be entered to win*. There will be one drawing at the end of June, so listen every week and improve your chances!
