This Week's Show

There's only 55 days to go before Microsoft launches its Licensing 6.0 Program on August 1. Approximately one-third of the Microsoft Windows and Office installed base will have to make a decision this year on whether or not to renew their existing licensing contracts or upgrade to the new 6.0 Program. Getting all the facts and understanding the changes in the new licensing scheme and the potential impact on your company's business is crucial. It may save or cost your business thousands or millions of dollars.

This week's edition of Win2000Talk will feature expert commentary from Microsoft's Rebecca LaBrunerie, a program manager in the company's WorldWide Licensing group, and Julie Giera, a vice president at Giga Information Group, who specializes in Microsoft licensing and contract negotiations. You'll also hear what users who attended a recent TechTarget Windows Decisions conference have to say about all this in a man-on-the-street interview collage by TechTarget Editor-in-Chief Paul Gillin. Andrew Baker, director of Internet Operations at The Princeton Review, joins us again to answer your technical questions. And as always, we'll have our regular segment hosts: Ed Parry with the News; and Dave Gabel with the NetIQ Trivia Quiz and our new "second chance" contest that will automatically enter you to win a BlackBerry handheld device. Just listen to the NetIQ Trivia Quiz with Dave Gabel and submit your answer to Question@Win2000Talk, and you will be entered to win*. There will be one drawing at the end of June, so listen every week and improve your chances!
