THE CONSTANT BATTLE OF MANAGING IIS | by Scott Blake

Dear Expert,
I use up-to-date patches and hotfixes and have Norton antivirus
software on all my IIS servers. Even with these precautions, security
holes constantly pop up. The patches and hotfixes only work
sometimes. There has to be a trade-off between the risk of not being
up to date versus the possibility that the server may be fried after
installing the latest patch/hotfix?

UPGRADING AN NT4 PDC TO A WIN2K PDC | by Paul Hinsberg

Dear Expert,
I need to upgrade my Windows NT 4.0 PDC server to a Windows 2000
server, so I can set up another Win2k server as a BDC. I have two
other NT 4.0 servers that also act as BDCs. My question is twofold:

1) Should I upgrade the PDC to Win2k server, or do a fresh install?
(A fresh install would be a huge undertaking.)
2) Will the NT server BDCs have any problems with authentication and
replication?
