DOCUMENTATION FOR ACTIVE DIRECTORY | by James Michael Stewart

If you're like me, you'd rather know how to find information than
memorize everything. Supposedly that was Einstein's disposition as
well. Maybe that explains why he often forgot his address and
telephone number.

I've been poking around on the Microsoft Web site looking for
something new and exciting. I'm constantly amazed by the amount of
information available through the Microsoft Web site and the inane
complexity of the site and subsequent difficulty I have at actually
finding anything.

Nevertheless, I recently found something I wanted to share with you.

ADMINISTER AD USERS AND COMPUTERS IN ANOTHER FOREST OR DOMAIN

When accessing the program to administer the AD user and computers in
a different forest than the one you're in, create a shortcut icon on

ADVICE ON TESTING ACTIVE DIRECTORY | Ask the Expert

OOPS! TRUE IT BLOOPER #51: MIGRATION BLUES | Article

Cuts in staffing have eliminated the one category of workers most IT
departments need the most: the post-traumatic stress (PTS) counselor.
At this very moment, systems are crashing and backups are being
deleted, and system administrators around the world are banging their
heads against walls. As PTS counselors know, the trauma doesn't end
when the system glitch is fixed. For example, JL still gets the
shakes when he remembers the day he dumped his domain.
