FrontPage flaw could invite DoS attack (CNET)
FrontPage is making front-page security news. Microsoft has issued an advisory to Web site admins, warning them that a flaw in FrontPage extensions could let an attacker commandeer their servers or crash their computers. The combination of the SmartHTML interpreter and FrontPage Server Extensions 2000 could be an invitation to a DoS attack. MS says either get patching or get busy with the IIS lockdown tool.

MS offers license plan for small businesses (vnunet)
If your business is small, Microsoft has a new licensing plan for you. The company is offering three-year licenses which can be paid off over the course of the contract rather than up front. Multi-Year Open License is geared to companies that want Microsoft product licenses for at least five PCs. An analyst says this is a good deal if the cost is 50% to 60% of the price of a one-off license.
