Another virus in MS patch's clothing (IDG News)
Another of those viruses in patch's clothing is making the rounds, according to Microsoft. The virus hides in a bogus e-mail ad for a patch purporting to protect Internet Explorer and Outlook software. The e-mail, which bears the subject line "Internet Security Update," urges you to run an attached ".exe" file with the name "q216309.exe." Don't do it. The real patch was issued eight months ago.

THE MISSING LINK
E-mail it to the judge, Ma'am!
;)
E-pleading -- it's where real justice takes a virtual turn. Alleged traffic violators in Yakima, Wash., now have the option of making their cases to the judge via e-mail. That means if you get busted in Yakima going 75 in a 35 -- but you have a perfectly logical explanation for it -- the cop could very well proclaim "E-it to the judge!" while he writes that big, fat ticket. The judges will send their replies either via e-mail or snail mail.
