MS: Windows help facility could be harmful (IDG News)
It's supposed to be helpful, but instead it may be harmful: A HTML-based help function found in most Windows OSes has a flaw that can let hackers help themselves to PCs. Microsoft has warned that the problem is critical because a Web site or HTML e-mail can also call up the facility -- the exploited flaw could then let the hacker take over. MS has posted a patch.
