Glitch shows students pay Taco Bell, not tuition
;)
Imagine checking your credit card statement and seeing a $3,200 charge from Taco Bell! That would probably make you toss your tacos. Several parents of University of Wisconsin-La Crosse students actually experienced that scenario (the $3,200 charge, not the taco tossing) right after the most recent semester started. So what happened? Did the undergrads go out and charge gold-filled chalupas to Daddy's Visa? No, blame this on a computer glitch. The money that was supposed to pay for tuition, room and board did in fact get to the university. Somewhere along the line, someone's software listed Taco Bell as the biller.
