Why spammers love Windows (CNET)
When it comes to spam, blame the messenger service! Spammers are using the service, which is an administration feature in Windows, to sully your inbox. Messenger service usually lets a network administrator warn users of things like when server is going down for maintenance. But savvy spammers are using it to get addresses and spread their messages.

What downturn? MS beats the Street (Reuters)
Microsoft is awash in green and black. The company's first-quarter earnings exceeded Wall Street's predictions and more than doubled the net profit of the same period last year. Licensing 6.0 helped drive the money train. Sun Microsystems, on the other hand, is awash in red and pink. The Microsoft rival will lay off 4,400 employees after yet another losing quarter.
