MANAGE DESKTOP THEMES THROUGH GPOS | by James Michael Stewart

In some organizations, controlling details of the user desktop is an
important aspect of maintaining a productive IT environment.
Depending on the nature of the organization and the work tasks of the
users, it may be desirable strictly to control desktop themes. For
example, if you have a situation where workers move among different
desktops, and you want them to have a consistent user experience on
each desktop they use, you need to control the desktop themes.

CAN I ADD WIN2K SERVER TO NEW AD DOMAIN? | Ask Paul Hinsberg

Dear Paul:
I have a mixture of Windows 2000 servers and NT servers. My DNS
server is Win2k. I would like to create an Active Directory
environment on the DNS server, then simply change the existing domain
name on all servers and PCs to the new domain created by AD. Is it
possible to change the domain on a Win2k server so it joins the new
AD domain, or do I have to rebuild it to make it a member of the new
domain?

TO UPGRADE OR NOT? NT USERS CONSIDER THEIR OPTIONS | Article

NT 4.0 reaches the end of its lifespan July 1, 2003, at which time
Microsoft will no longer offer free support for the operating system.
That leaves NT-based organizations with three options: 1) remain on
NT 4.0 and risk higher service fees, 2) choose to migrate to
Microsoft's Windows 2000 Server, a 3-year-old operating system or 3)
take the risk of upgrading to brand new code by installing the next
release of Windows, Windows Server 2003.
