ASK ROBERTA BRAGG
Dual admin controls for tighter security
Dear Roberta:
Is there any way that AD could be configured such that a password reset could trigger removal from certain sensitive network groups that the AD administrator would NOT have control over? This would allow for dual administration and less risk of an internal hacker accessing sensitive network resources. Is there another way that dual administration could be implemented when resetting a user's password? Would group policies help? Should we monitor event logs and send alerts that would run VB scripts to remove the member?

THE MISSING LINK
Fare deals were hardly square deals

The Net has helped write a new story -- "The Emperor's New Airline." The Web site of Mainline Airways was offering some killer deals from Los Angeles to Hawaii -- as low as $89. Hundreds of excited surfers with leis dancing through their heads bought tickets. But the only ride they were taking was of the rip-off variety, captained by an 18-year-old college student in Massachusetts. The airline never existed. He's now in a heap of trouble, but he helped update that favorite axiom "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."
