Microsoft patched two security holes in Windows 2000 Server and Media Player 9. WINDOWS WORD CHALLENGE
Name that boot up method
This term refers to various methods of getting an IBM-compatible computer, typically running Windows, to boot up without the need for a hard drive or boot diskette. The methods evolved from the era before computers had internal disk drives. It usually involves booting a computer from firmware -- data contained on a read-only-memory (ROM) or programmable read-only-memory (PROM) chip -- rather than from data contained on magnetic media.

THE MISSING LINK
Baseball legend goes up for sale on the Net

You may have thought gawking at a frozen Ted Williams was an odd way to see a former baseball great. Now you can stare at a real live home run hitter all afternoon for a mere $2,500 -- if you're under 18, that is. Sidelined slugger Jose Canseco has put himself on the Internet auction block for any youngster who has the appropriate funding. There's an additional $1,000 charge for an accompanying parent. If you can field the bill, you and your child can rent Canseco for an afternoon, but there is a wait. Canseco is currently enjoying the hospitality of the Miami police while awaiting a hearing on a probation violation.
