Microsoft patches critical VBA flaw (eWEEK)
A flaw in Microsoft's Visual Basic for Applications developer kit has been discovered and a patch has been issued. The vulnerability stems from a buffer overrun during the process in which VBA scans document properties when a document is opened by a host application. The flaw could be exploited by a hacker to run malicious code.

Huge crowds aren't keeping some Indians from taking part in a large Hindu festival that started Sunday in Bombay. To partake, all they really need is a ring and a prayer. For a small fee, a cellular operator will enable devotees to text message in their prayers. So far, more than 5,000 people have dialed up for the deity.
