Microsoft clears its own XP SP2 confusion (ZDNet)
Only a beta version of Service Pack 2 for Windows XP will be available this year, according to Microsoft, which on Friday clarified a statement made a day earlier by one of its executives. A full version of SP2 will be released by the middle of 2004, Microsoft said.

Microsoft recently released seven new edition versions of Windows Server 2003, bringing the total up to 13 since the product was launched in April. The platform covers everything from 64-bit computing to small business flavors.
