SMS 2003 released to manufacturing (SearchWin2000.com)
Microsoft announced on Wednesday that it has released its Systems Management Server 2003 product to manufacturing. The software is set to make its formal debut on Nov. 11.

Microsoft is opening up its treasured source code to a new group: the so-called most valuable professionals. "MVPs" are those Microsoft says actively support the software maker's online support community. Until now, Microsoft's shared source initiative was only open to governments.

WINDOWS WORD CHALLENGE
World's first personal computer
This was the world's first personal computer (PC) to attract a substantial number of users. When it appeared on the cover of the January 1975 issue of Popular Electronics, this computer ignited the (still accelerating) personal computer boom. A company called MITS (Micro Instrumentation and Telemetry Systems) in Albuquerque developed the computer and sold it for $395 as a kit or $495 assembled.
