A final version of Windows XP Service Pack 2, a service pack with the feel of a full upgrade, will ship in the middle of 2004, a Microsoft executive said Tuesday.

Gartner: IT spending still cautious (CNET)
Companies both large and small are spending less on IT in the fourth quarter than what they had previously budgeted, a sign that a big spending recovery in 2004 is unlikely, according to the analyst firm Gartner Inc.
