Microsoft tests InfoPath update
Today, Microsoft is expected to release a test version of the first service pack for its
e-forms software. Service Pack 1for InfoPath will include improvements in support for digital signatures and handwriting recognition. The final release is expected in June, when Microsoft plans to put out its first service pack for Office 2003.
Office to Linux: 'None of it is true'
Rumors have been rampant that IBM and Microsoft have tag-teamed to port Office software to Linux. Big Blue and Redmond, however, squashed those rumors.
Microsoft zaps hidden data in Office documents
After people collaborate on a project using Microsoft's Office software, there's often hidden data from early drafts that could be exposed outside the organization when the final documents are released. Microsoft recently unveiled a new tool that scrubs away such hidden data. The download is available for free on Microsoft's Web site.
