Keeping Windows Office up-to-date
[Tom Lancaster]
Maintaining proper security means keeping applications patched and updated just like operating systems and other key software components. The simple solution is a link to Office Update located at the top of the Windows Update Web page.

Interesting times in your e-mail inbox
[Tom Lancaster]
Recently, numerous new mass mailing viruses -- including Beagle.A, Novarg.A, and MyDoom.B -- have been discovered. These viruses harvest e-mail addresses from e-mail address books and other files likely to contain e-mail addresses to identify designated message recipients. This tip will explain why.

Now the real question before doing this is: what services would actually be affected when removing a share? In other words, what should we know about admin shares before removing them and what are the consequences?
