The Missing Link: Microsoft intern has his head in the clouds

Stubblefield is living proof that you can have your head in the
clouds and still have a head for business. As an intern last year for
Microsoft's research unit, Stubblefield stumbled upon a new way to help users remember their passwords. His inspiration came from the cloud shapes he saw on his drive home from work. After proving to Microsoft that shapes can trigger a user's memory of a forgotten password, the software maker filed for a patent. Stubblefield, 23, is now a second-year doctoral candidate at Johns Hopkins University, where he'll probably come up with the idea for his thesis by watching grass grow.
