IDC offers sunny forecast for servers
[CNET]
The market for servers will grow by about 5% this year, according to new research from International Data Corp. While sales of Linux-based servers will rise sharply and account for 29% of shipments, Windows-based servers will make up 60% of total shipments worldwide, IDC says.
Sasser worm informant under investigation

The person responsible for turning in the accused creator of the Sasser worm is now under investigation for being a party to the crime. A magazine reported that the informant who provided the tip to Microsoft that led to the arrest of Sven Jaschan is a classmate of the German teen.
