ASK THE EXPERT:  Preventing laptops from running Internet Explorer
Dear Jeremy:
At our school we have a number of wireless laptops that can be moved into different classrooms. I would like to be able to stop users of the laptops from running Internet Explorer unless required by the teacher. We are running Windows 2000 server with Windows XP clients. I have created a new OU in AD called 'Laptops' and would like to be able to move the laptops there with a GPO based in the OU to stop Internet Explorer from running. When internet access is required, I would like to simply move the laptops back to the original 'Computers' group which allows access. Is this possible?

The Missing Link

Some have a stomach for spam
[USA Today]
This story could be disturbing to some readers. In fact, this would give Stephen King nightmares. Parental discretion is advised. Ready? Some people like spam! As unspeakable as the notion sounds to most of civilization, a survey of Yahoo Mail users revealed that 20% actually bought stuff from spammers. These spam feeders say they find good bargains in their little inbox of horrors. Evidently, one man's trash folder is another man's treasure.
