Microsoft pushes back automatic delivery of SP2
[eWeek]
Microsoft said that demand from large customers is the reason it will delay the Windows Update/Automatic Update delivery of XP SP2 to corporate customers. The Missing Link

Taking the Net away would be gross inconvenience
[MSNBC News]
Here's a real shocker -- are you sitting down? According to a new study, the Internet plays a big role in our lives. Whew! Someone must have earned major bling to go out on that limb! Actually, the nonprofit Pew Internet & American Life Project found that 88% of American Web surfers regard the Net as a player in their daily lives, and nearly two-thirds said that their daily lives would suffer if they lost their logins. And, when it comes to getting directions, the computer is the way to go -- nearly 90% of surfers who need directions or maps get them online. Evidently, men aren't afraid to use Ask Jeeves for directions. And the days of the big, crinkly, impossible-to-fold map may be numbered.
