The Missing Link

Cheney reaction -- site snafu sends surfers to Soros
[Associated Press]
Here's a perfect example of why it's important to distinguish your dot coms from your dot orgs. When Vice President Cheney told debate watchers to go to FactCheck.com for the facts about his Halliburton dealings, little did he know he was directing them to a business based in the Cayman Islands. When that site became super-swamped with hits, the irate -- and evidently partisan -- company redirected visitors to a site run by George Soros, the billionaire Bush basher who is going to great (and expensive) lengths to kick Cheney and his boss to the political curb. Oops. Cheney, of course, meant FactCheck.org.
