Linux is being used in a growing software piracy scam. According to Gartner, 40% of PCs running Linux will rip that OS out in favor of an illegal copy of Windows. In emerging markets, about 80% of Linux-based machines are being used that way.

Microsoft unleashes a deluge of BI goodies

Microsoft is planning to release several business intelligence products related to its database software, including tools for commonly used reports for Exchange Server and the software maker's CRM applications. The SQL Server Report Packs will also let users create reports.
