TIP OF THE DAY:
More on the practical applications of CONVERT and CAST
There are times when it becomes necessary or desirable to convert one datatype to another. A conversion can allow you to apply a function to your data that isn't available in the original datatype stored in your database. Cold War, hot item -- eBay selling winged, nuclear tchotchke
[Agence France Presse]
What do you get the person who has everything -- except a vintage Cold War era nuclear bomber? How about a vintage Cold War era nuclear bomber? There's one for sale on eBay, but you'll have to go to Blackpool in England to get it (and good luck flying it to your driveway). The reserve bid is $11,000 -- less than a new Volkswagen and much more intimidating. The man who's selling the Vulcan XL391 hopes his Vulcan lives long and
prospers. In fact, he talks about the plane as if it's a pet. "I just hope it goes to a good home," he said. No word yet if it's bombing with bidders.
