Print and save this one as a handy reference!

TIP OF THE DAY:  Achieving ROI with Web services
If you're looking for a fast return on investment (ROI) with Web services, consultants say to start small, possibly with a point-to-point integration project, and to use technology and tools that are already familiar to in-house IT staffers.

The Missing Link

Rage against the machine -- for $52
[Reuters]
One of the many great scenes from the movie "Office Space" is when the fed up software guys take a Louisville Slugger to a particularly offensive copy machine. Life is imitating art in a little Spanish village. A junkyard operator in Lubia has become a sort of stress therapist for the digital age. For a mere $52, folks who're teched out and teed off can get in touch with their inner Luddite and take a sledgehammer to cell phones, computers -- even cars and pictures of the boss. The junkyard provides the sledgehammer, helmet, overalls and goggles, as well as the heavy metal soundtrack -- you provide the rage. Each rage against the machine is limited to two hours, but no one has lasted more than 30 minutes so far. It's good cardio, too, so you'd think maybe this could be part of a holistic wellness program.
