It's not quite pioneer square, but the Gelato in Seattle that most reminded me of what I got all over Florance was the place kitty corner from the NE corner of Beneroya Hall.

Subject: [SEAPY] Sunday visitor

Tavis Rudd, a Vancouver Pythoneer and the creator of the Cheetah
template system, will be in Seattle this Sunday Sept 6 in the
afternoon and evening, on his way to DjangoCon in Portland. We'll be
hanging out around Pioneer Square/International District if anybody
wants to meet and sightsee. I'm going to look into the jazz clubs and
that New Orleans club in the evening. Is there a gelato shop down
there somewhere?
