Hi Scott, I think you would meet some people, learn some things. A big part of these meetings is people sharing what they're doing. You could also get opinions from people on their favorite learning resources or answers to questions about parts of Python that aren't clear to you.. Python in general and SeaPIG in particular are very newbie friendly communities.
