The most definitive answer is in the other thread, "Meeting locations
confirmed and Python Day planning". The group declined the Pg offer
due to the registration fee. That doesn't preclude anybody from
organizing some Python content at the conference on their own if they
want to.

There is no organizing committee for the Python Day yet so it's still
just an idea. I have yet to hear anybody say, "I'd like to be on the
organizing team."

So any speculation on the timing or nature of the day are just ideas
at this point. People have expressed a general desire for a recurring
Python Day (50-100 people) and a regional Python conference (100-300
people). "Day" is just a name for it; chosen mainly for its
informality and open-endedness. it could be a one-day or two-day
event. I'd suggest sticking to one day until we've done some more of
them.

Events could include talks, lightning talks, sprints, or anything else
people would like to do.
