A problem has arisen in the Python Day contract. Lexis/Nexis will pay the bill but will not sign a contract in its own name; i.e., it will not accept liability if something goes wrong. SeaPIG is not a legal entity so it can't sign a contract. We need a member or friendly company to "own" the event and accept liability.
Joshua, would Command Prompt be willing to do this since you have experience with similar events? We need to complete this today because Lexis wants to pay with 2009 funds, and the SCCC cashier will be away next week. Otherwise Lexis may have to withdraw its sponsorship. -- Mike Orr <[email protected]>
