I was visiting him in Oxford and we were hanging out in a cafe in February 2007 when I came up with the idea. I said, do you mind if I name a programming language after you? He said no. So there you have it. His irc/unix handle is cdent. C'Dent is also somewhat acronymy for Common DEnomiNaTor, which is cool, but I only thought of that later... The guy in the picture on http://cdent.org is Chris (doing some rock climbing...). Cheers, Ingy
