We could have a summer gathering in the West Sound to discuss Python
on Mac OS X, a repeat of the GNU Radio talk (if Jon is willing), or
other topics of interest. We'd need somebody on the west side to
arrange a location, and enough drivers for carpools from Seattle. [1]
Given that it's summer and the Penninsula is a recreation spot, I'd
also like to include something outdoorsy like a picnic or a hike. We
could go for Saturday or Sunday or both, if accommodations were
available.

I personally would be most interested in Port Townsend as I've never
been there, and I hear it has a nice Victorian artsy ambience. But
convenience from the ferries is another factor.

[1] I do want to try some transit trips around the penninsula, as some
people have done. But these generally have to be done on a weekday and
take a few hours to get from say Bainbridge to Port Townsend. Still,
if there's interest in combining this with a Python excursion, I could
look up the schedules.
