yup. That's a nice example, but also shows what I mean -- you need to do all the mouse event handling yourself, figuring out where the person clicked, whether it was on an object, when to re-draw the object, etc.

The tk Canvas, and FloatCanvas do much of that for you.

FloatCanvas also does zooming, and panning for you, and takes arbitrary floating point coordinates.
