So, a part of the slides that I've already done is about 'why Cython' and what concrete advantages it offers over using the CPython API directly. I was planning on doing a mini-tutorial on how to use Cython to wrap a C library, but I can stick to just what I already mentioned plus demonstrating/explaining bits of oursql.
That would be great -- I have a couple examples to show of numpy/Cython integration, so I think they are complimentary.
Robert Bradshaw, one of the core Cython developers is going to try to make it. If so he'll given a status update/future directions summary.
This is shaping up to be a great Cython intro: come one, come all! -Chris -- Christopher Barker, Ph.D. Oceanographer Emergency Response Division NOAA/NOS/OR&R (206) 526-6959 voice 7600 Sand Point Way NE (206) 526-6329 fax Seattle, WA 98115 (206) 526-6317 main reception [email protected]
