If there's time after the talk we can discuss this. Otherwise,
September will be an show & tell/open discussion meeting so we can
talk about it then.

By the way, I've been talking with Brian Dorsey, Jon Mark, and Melissa
Rice about forming a SeaPIG leadership council. I haven't mentioned it
before because there's nothing concrete yet. Brian has been a
co-leader of the group since almost the beginning, Jon and Melissa
have been regular contributors for many months, and Jon has also been
hosting SeaPIG for quite a while. Apologies if some prefer a democracy
over a benevolent dictatorship, but I think this is the most effective
way to go forward. SeaPIG has tripled in size over the past year (in
meeting attendance, not mailing-list subscriptions) when we started
having regular talks. And I need a break from running this mostly
alone. With the growth has come a lot of new members, and I can only
learn a few people's names at a time, much less remember what they
said. So I feel like I haven't been keeping adequate track of the many
new members and potential contributors who have appeared, and that
SeaPIG needs some more leadership blood to reach its potential.

My general vision for the council is to:
- meet every few months
- share ideas on the meeting format, topics, speakers, and
extracurricular activities (drinking, sprints, Python Days, outings)
- trade off running the meetings and scheduling the location
- revamp the website (maybe)
- have an email address for those who want to contact us

We haven't met yet but will probably have some news by the September meeting.
